If Canelo beats Cotto at 160 he'll be the 160 pound WBC title holder. GGG holds all the other belts. If there is a dispute about the weight, the best Canelo will hope for is 155 or so and GGG said he would be willing to make that for Mayweather, I'm sure he'd make that for Canelo too. Between the two Canelo is the A-side, so I'd expect GGG to compromise if he wants the fight.

I don't like catchweights to begin with. BUT....when they do come up, the argument that always dictates is that the "a-side" is demanding it so deal with it because it's a business. OK, if that's the case then it is the case across the board, right? Canelo had to agree to Floyd's demands, as will GGG to Canelo's demands as will Ward to GGG's demands.

If Golovkin waits for the Canelo/Cotto winner (most likely fighting nobody in the meantime)..... and then the eventual winner says to Golovkin.....

I am guessing that the Cotto/Canelo winner would be labelled a coward/ducker.

Everybody who knows me, is well-aware that I cannot, and will not, regard catchweights as acceptable..... but in this particular instance, that catchweight would suit me perfectly

LOL, you serious? Oracle holds 19,000 plus and Ward-Smith had 9,016 people there. GGG-Geale had 9,000 in New York City, GGG-Rubio had 9,200 in LA. GGG isn't even from America and Ward fought in his own backyard.

Ward-Dawson had 8,500 fans in attendance...SMH, pathetic.

Ward's event with Dawson brought in over $700k at the gate; Ward-Smith being on a similar ticket pricing scheme and drawing a similar crowd likely brought in around the same gate.

Team Golovkin was creaming themselves over a fight where they publicly stated brought in $500k (GGG-Rubio).

Not that difficult when you're selling $15 tickets, i guess. lol

GGG needs u really bad as he's wrote a bunch of bounced checks to ward that his azz can't cash and is now on the run . Unfortunately he has come to u to bail him out as he is in desperate need of a legitimate win against a real contender . His fans r starting to jump ship due to his blatant cowardice and excuse making .

Except for that funny bit about Golovkin wanting to go to 168 for Froch or Chavez Jr, Ward has no incentive to go down to 164 (Ward brings in more money at the gate, Ward is seen as clearly being the better fight, Ward earns the bigger paydays, and they've drawn comparable numbers when on HBO)

Great argument except for the simple fact fighting c level fighters don't make you no A side, A sides don't ask for 50/50 purse splits
