A Ward fan just said Ward wanted to fight at 172 - to see how his body would respond and not have to stress over making weight after such a long layoff.

So what is it? Does this guy need to drop alot of weight or what?
It's more than you have saying he weighs in the 180's.

Fighting weight and walk around weight are completely different. Having such a long lay off he would have had more fat than usual to lose to get into fighting shape.

Andre Ward is boring boring boooooooring. Do people really wanna watch this boring LHW turd slow dance in the ring with a MW? Berto is a better fight for GGG. More action, more punching, less turd.

          Come get this work Gennardy!
we can give the fans a much better fight!

When Ward brings fans/money it'll change the equation. Abel said that at the end of the article that they'd change the weight demand if Ward was worth it. Ward had no issue bending Dawson over because he had leverage. Now Ward has nothing.

Pretty funny to watch you guys squirm at the fact that there is virtually no way to ignore the glaring fact that a fighter who just fought at 172 moving to 175 is much less of a weight difference than a fighter moving from 160 to 168 is.

Don't claim Ward is only 5lbs away from Golovkin when you don't have anything to support that aside from a single fight. AND if he does only weigh 5lbs more and stays in the 170's - then 164 isn't going to weaken him that much.
You're the one that made the claim Ward is closer in weight to Kovalev than Golovkin, where's your evidence? You have nothing at all.
