Rubio is not a bad fighter. That fight was 3.5 years ago, when Rubio still had some spark in him. Against GGG, it's obvious he was way past his expiration date.
Not to mention, Lemiuex was 22 years old. He was not in the prime of his career. 3.5 years is a lot of time for the man to improve. Dominating N'Dam showed he's not a bad fighter at all. Show me a boxer that was in their prime at the age of 22 years old... there's not a whole lot of them out there. Wladimir Klitschko was 22 years when he suffered his first defeat, now look where he is at.
Rubio is not a bad fighter, just an average fighter who never beat a top fighter and has an inflated record vs c fighters. And he beat Lemeiux. Which is nothing of note and will be nothing of note when GGG also KO's him.
I guess they testing the waters with GGG on pay per view. If it bombs might end up getting murdered in the negotiations with Ward and Cotto/Canelo even worse. Even if its a success Cotto/Canelo could double it. But I like the fight. I personally would pay for it.
two foreign fighters, one unknown and the other barely a household name??? yes it will bomb and no, it doesnt belong on ppv. golovkin is not a superstar.

It will be PPV in Canada anyways, so if I do not see it in person, it will be a stream or a bar for me. Makes no difference to me if it is PPV in the US or not.
