She's been a 1 fighter promoter though & what would you rather have HBO money or NBC Sports money? She's got a solid situation going on right now & I think her situation is better now than it was when she first encountered Haymon. And if Haymon proves successful at his goal I think there is still room for small promoters in boxing. I'm personally rooting for more "advisor" slash investor people like Haymon to come into boxing & hire promoters on a card by card basis so she could get a gig like that worse case & be making guaranteed money each fight instead of taking on risk with a overall subpar roster while hoping to hit the talent lottery with a guy or two who can carry the company til the next big guy comes along.Comment

She is a Promoter not a Manager, with NBC Sports she was doing and promoting More Events which= More Money. Now She is reduced really to playing the waiting game and waiting for HBO to give her dates compared to the NBC situation in which she had many dates to work with and did not have to wait for HBO. Imagine if she had Kovalev on HBO and still had NBC Sports she would be doing a lot better but unfortunately for her that is not the case and I think she is BITTER because of that and I somewhat understandOriginally posted by Eff Pandas View Post

People are making a lot of assumptions about Haymond, especially with all of this talk about him running out of money or him spending too much on his fights and purse bids.... without seeing all of the figures, we have no idea where he is at as far as profits and losses....
A few things to consider though -
He has been passing the risk off to others rather than himself. Who had the purse gaurantee for mayweather? It wasnt Haymond it was Showtime, the risk was on them. If they never made the Pac fight, they likely could have lost millions, while Haymond still makes his percentage off every fight.
PBC, Haymond got something like 400 million from investors on this... the key thing here is PBC is separate from Haymond, Haymond just has only his fighters fighting on it..... PBC can fail and Haymond will still be around. Again the risk is not on him but on those investors and on CBS/showtime.
He literally took all of goldenboy's fighters right under their nose. He knows what hes doing. Hes a hell of a lot smarter than kathy freaking duva. boo ****ing hooo its not fair that I cant make money the old way by doing nothing and just taking 30 percent a purse. boo hoo haymond is making me work harder to make a living.Comment
