      Not sure tbh.

I am not from the US, and I have 0 interest in the TV/numbers aspect of this sport..... I actually have very little interest in the business side, period.

I cannot understand the latest fan fascination with networks/finances.

I always prefered watching people get punched in the face, but go figure.

IMHO, actual fans need to glove up and spend some time in the gym.

It doesn't hurt to develop a higher level of understanding.

But I am sure that there are people here who have access to that information, or people who can provide a better assessment of those figures than I can. I have no baseline to compare them to, so not sure if good or bad.

I suspect those figures are likely quite good for Golovkin for two reasons.

You wouldnt have mentioned them otherwise, and casual fans love punchers.

      But not sure tbh.

I am sure that Golovkin is more popular than Ward, no question.

I am also sure as to who the better fighter is, no question

GGG should tell Ward, 70/30 at 168.... that's a good offer. Ward numbers are pitiful.

          168, and 60/40, is a more obvious bottom-line.

You do actually want the fight, right ?

Pity that Team Golovkin wont drop the catchweight demand.

            News for you

Golovkin is having a unification fight in October, headlining a HBO PPV and after that Canelo/Cotto winner is due next year, maybe we might have Andy Lee, if he still holds the belt by then. It has always been the priority to unify the titles, what does it mean?

Ward has a full year to get in shape, to get his body ready to make 168 foremost and to have a couple exciting fights in between and hopefully generate some excitement to build the fight. GGG is doing his part but Ward really needs to work on his charisma and his entertainment/market value. If Ward can achieve it and hopefully collected at least a belt until then, the fight might happen next year at 168, if Ward is still a boring snoozer that doesnt sell tickets, then he has to budge either on money or weight.

You already said that 100 times and you will always get the same answer, maybe you should wash your ears:

Chavez was a PPV attraction with a huge fanbase when the fight was offered
Froch was a PPV attraction with a huge fanbase when the fight was offered
Ward.. is neither and GGG still offered Ward 50/50 and agreed to meet in the middle, i call that very generous. Ward did not accept the fight nor did he make a counteroffer, did he? (less money, meet at 166 instead for example)

Since you are throwing out facts why not mention that ward can't attract flys to *****, is the b side, has been inactive for a long time, and the public doesn't know who the hell he is.

                    Exactly !

Standard risk/reward is not rocket science.

Lets play a game, you fill in the blank.....

                    * Hypekin was willing to fight Froch at 168, because he thinks he can win....

                    * Hypekin was willing to fight Chavez at 168, because he thinks he can win....

                    * Hypekin was NOT willing to fight Ward at 168, because {insert answer here}.....

                    Over to you ^^

GGG isn't a PPV attraction and his fanbase is as big as Andre's. Last I checked 8k seems to be what these guys get in the seats except one time for GGG... he got 12k. Please stop like GGG is some superhero star in boxing, no one knows who he is either.
