GGG wants to fight Lemieux before he fights Ward for the same reason Ward wants to fight Golovkin before he fights Kovalev. It's better for him doing it that way round.
Who the **** is a David lemieux fan? Wtf am I reading? He's known to a few hardcores and fans in Canada, which isn't a strong boxing nation. Wtf am I reading? Have u gone mental?

This is not bodybuilding we are talking about. An elite level boxer is a finely tuned machine. That's why Ward himself said that going up then back down again is not an option for him.
But Golovkin had no problem fighting Froch/Chavez at 168.

And Golovkin has been saying for years " anyone from 154-168 ".

      168 is 168.

It does not change for Ward.

I agree with you about the weight, there is nothing in your post that I disagree with, you are obviously correct...... but your issue was not a problem 3 years ago when Gennady stated that he can fight at 168, the weight issue was not a problem if fighting Chavez, and it was not a problem if fighting Froch..... only for Ward, did that become a problem.

That is why Golovkins position is indefensible, and that is why the very last post in this thread will be.....

      • Wow 70 pages? Everyone talking about GGG it seems. HBO isnt interested in making this fight right now, they wanna buid it and make it next year so all this talk here is kinda pointless. GGG wants to unify the MW belts first and that means Lemieux and Canelo/Cotto winner. Ward should focus about selling a couple tickets, it seems like without GGG no one is interested in watching any of his fights, Ward fight without buildup doesnt mean **** right now, Ward is worth nothing.

Ward keeps contradicting himself over and over, at first he needs a couple tuneups, and now he tries to fool the public again, earlier he said he would move down to 160 to fight #1 p4p Mayweather, if we can shred 8 pounds for #1 why cant he shred 4 pounds to fight #3 p4p Golovkin?

Or he'd take a lot less, which would be more for GGG.

I think Lemieux is popular in Canada, I don't really know how popular though.
Ward has a certain amount guaranteed him in his contract with Roc Nation. I don't think purse split will be an issue. Roc Nation has shown it's more than capable of spending. This will easily be Golovkin's biggest payday to date.

Stop acting like ******s. You know exactly why and keep on digging out the same argument again and again.. isnt that getting boring? Is that all you have?

Anyone was back when GGG came to the states, and after his first coupöe fights he said clearly he would only move up and down for a well paid ppv fight, which woud have been Chavez, Froch and Mayweather.

Also Canelo/Cotto winner might happen early next year and Lemieux, who are both way more exciting fights than Andre Bored.

You just cant deal with it that GGG is successful and is not giving that boring clincher a payday.

I feel like a teacher for little ******s.

HBO isn't interested in putting up all the money for the fight, which is why it would go to PPV. Only fighters like Floyd and Manny, and to a lesser degree Cotto and Canelo fight on PPV because of huge fan bases that will pay to ser them. Fighters of Ward and GGG's stature fights go to PPV because networks are willing to pay them wjat they want. So they give them a percentage and tell them to try their luck getting the rest in PPV sales.

                • Lemieux would be a good opponent for Golovkin.

He is ranked, and he has hardware, so of course he would be a good opponent.

But if Golovkin/Lemieux does not happen next, what is wrong with Lara ?

And as far as I am concerned, the "dey be duckin me doe" line, and the "anyone from 154-168" line, are absolute rubbish.

Also, after refusing to fight Ward at 168, Golovkin needs to keep Wards name out of his mouth.

I heard enough of that bullshht for 5 years from Pacquiao about Mayweather.
