Absolutely !
Golovkin fans, answer me this.....
Previously, when Mayweather/Pacquiao/Cotto/Canelo have avoided fights at a particular point in time, and stated that the financials do not make sense..... they then move on and face a better paying opponent.
When Golovkin has avoided fights at a particular point in time, and stated that the financials do not make sense..... he fights Willie Monroe.
WTF ?
So it is not about the reward, it is about the risk !
You Golovkin fans need to reply to Redd Foxx's post.Comment

To be completely honest why aren't you ward fans satisfied? If GGG wanted to he could offer ward 60/40 in favor of GGG, the place he wants to fight, at 160 (give ward the dawson treatment). Yet GGG is nice enough to bless ward with his ring presence at 164 for a 50/50 split! what the fu ck more do you want?
You were happy for Golovkin to fight Froch at 168, but now you feel that 168 is too high, simply because Golovkin is too scared to fight Ward?
It is Golovkin that is in desperate need of a career-defining fight, not Ward.
You were happy for Golovkin to fight Chavez at 168, but now you feel that 168 is too high, simply because Golovkin is too scared to fight Ward?
What changed between you supporting a Froch/Chavez fight, but not Ward ?
What changed ?
I think I know what changedComment

Geez, this sport just turns into to more of a joke everyday...talk smack like a pro wrestler, than refuse to fight if u don't get your demands..fighters of yesteryear must be rolling in their graves..Comment

there's a bigger difference in size between cotto and golovkin than there is between golovkin and ward. miguel cotto is not a natural middleweight. golovkin and ward have been at or above 160 for over a decade.
miguel cotto was a 140 lber to start, if you recall. he was at his best at 147 lbs. he had decent speed, power, and was a great boxer. beat judah, mosley. margarito ruined that fighter. during that time, golovkin and ward were amateurs at LHW and MW respectively.
.
There is absolutely nothing in common with these two totally different situations.Comment

Can't duck a fighter in another division. As for the rest of your post... punctuation is your friend. Learn how to use it and I will take the time to read what you write.
No one is forcing Ward to fight GGG at 164 or any other weight. In fact as far as we are all aware, no official offer has been made to Ward or GGG or their camps. It is just more back and forth media BS. In the end it really does not matter who Ward fights first, GGG or Kovalev, because it will be the only one he ends up fighting. Once he loses, the other will have no interest in fighting him and he can go back to digging up more out of shape clowns like Smith to fight.
So basically, Ward should take whichever of the two will get him the bigger payday because it may well be his last big one.Comment

Chavez fought at 172 last time out, the same as Ward, but only because he eats to much and doesn't train properly.
Froch has never been higher than 168, and is clearly smaller than Ward.Comment

i don't think things have to be so black and white. golovkin isn't "pathetic." he's the most avoided fighter at 160 lbs. martinez, cotto, and alvarez [let's face it, the kid is a middleweight,] are avoiding him. he's beaten basically everybody else.
lemiuex is a decent fight.
golovkin is extremely active. his style is one that puts a different kind of stamp on his victories. he doesn't just win fights, he beats the f#cking hell out of these guys. they're a complete mess if they have the chin to go a few rounds. they're not the same fighter when he's done with them.
a pathetic fighter doesn't do these things. he doesn't beat the f#ck out of top contenders. he doesn't go 300+ and 5 in the amateurs.
golovkin is not a pathetic fighter. he's one of the top 10 best fighters in boxing to anybody who knows what he is lookign at. he is, however, a middleweight. we have to give him some leeway when you talk about fighting the best 168 lber in the world, and a top p4p guy himself.
the fairest fight is 168 lbs. both guys will be at their best. golovkin would be at an obvious disadvantage.
i just don't see how fans of boxing can ask a fighter to come in drained of weight and unhealthy. that's literally what you want. it just seems backwards to me.Comment
