LOL. Everyone trying to be Mexican in boxing these days. Erislandy Lara would be smart to copy Sergey "El Krusher" Kovalev, Gennady "Dios de la Guerra" Golovkin & "Dinero" Floyd Mayweather & hijack some Mexican culture.

I'm telling you man, if all Mexicans/Latinos suddenly vanished from the sport of boxing this thing would be as dead as Donald Trump's NBC/Macy's/television partnerships. Especially Mexicans *whispers* 'we run dis ****'
No but seriously I don't take offense to this "Mexican Style" branding. Hell it has some truth to it, most Mexicans fight with pure heart going forward toe to toe, not backing down, etc. If these Russians want our fanbase and reap the benefits of the largest market in boxing (Mex/Mex-American) then they need to fight like us, like warriors. kudosComment

Any and every race has warriors, he is just saying this stuff to win over the majority fanbase. Call me overly sensitive but Im not going to hop on the Russian bandwagon just to see them beat the black guy like most want them to do.Comment

I'd rather Kovalev didn't start doing this, too. One thing I love about Kovalev is his versatility and skill set, focusing on crowd entertainment instead of how best to win a fight will get his ass beat by someone.Comment

I do get sensitive because how can you put a guy like Chavez Jr. & Juan Manuel Marquez in the same category because that is what you are doing when you say "Mexican Style." Or is Marquez just out of the ordinary? I guess next time Marquez fights, we should all call it "African American Style" because he counter punches like Floyd.
And most Mexicans like GGG, so I am not sure what's the big deal. Honestly man you sound a little insecure.Comment

lol, these Russians need to get their own fans. Theyre killing me with this "Mexican Style". I find this whole get the Mexican Style insulting in many ways as a Mexican American, is this suggesting American boxing is running? Is it suggesting Mexicans only know how to fight 1 way hence making them 1 dimensional? & lastly are these Russians trying to capitalize on a weak Mexican boxing era basically making it seem as if we have no one to root for except a Russian?Comment
