Why are you Ward fans so afraid of him fighting Kovalev?

Ward/GGG then Ward/Kov makes the most sense if you are Andre Ward or one of his fans, but if you are Gennady Golovkin, taking care of business at 160 before moving up is what makes sense.

And are not aware that Ward himself has aknowledged that HBO would not pay for a fight between him and GGG this year?

I'm not a Ward fan. I'm not afraid of him fighting Kov. I just think it makes sense to do Ward/GGG first then Ward/Kov. Historically, that's how its done.

You and other GGG fans have already said he is the best MW in the world and that he will beat cotto or Canelo. That's why the Ward fight is appealing, same way a GGG.Floyd fight is even though Floyd hasn't fought Bradley.

... Ward must wait for his turn... he just came back to fight Paul Smith at 176; he needs to prove himself against someone big at 168 next -- like Alfredo Angulo, for instance (because Sartison retired).

And who should ggg prove himself against? Because fighting very lite opposition does not EARN you a fight with pound for pound king floyd jr. He should fight credible men first. Thurman is more deserving than ggg. And MD I respect your boxing acumen but feel you are off on this one. Ward has proven himself vs very able fighters.
