WBA 'regular' junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (21-2-2, 12KOs) has long been interested in a fight with WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin. But if Lara is unable to get a fight with GGG, he is open to facing another middleweight beltholder in WBO champion Andy Lee (34-2-1, 24KOs).

Lara's adviser Al Haymon is not on good terms with cable network HBO, who have Golovkin under an exclusive deal. But Lee's promoter, Lou DiBella, is very close with Haymon.

He got his shot at Canelo and he squandered it with his track meet. Nobodies outside of hardcores are trying to watch him fight, and he has no one to blame but himself.

AFAIK they've never approached GGG's people, and they're supposed to be the ones chasing the fight. Remember him manager saying they'd contact them after Rodriguez? Then nothing. Maybe it's one of those, they want GGG, just not next. Very popular.

Man you can't honestly think chicken **** Lara actually has a chance? Angelo put this guy down, ggg would kill him. I'm so sick of this fight being suggested. Lara has done zero and is fragile.
