Fury isn't a legit 6'9" in my opinion. He was initially billed at 6'7", then was suddenly 6'8", now 6'9". Also, in one of his earlier pics with Wlad where they're standing with Andy Lee and Steward, Fury is clearly standing on his toes while Wlad is leaning over, creating an illusion of probably an extra 2 inch disparity or so.

Look up pictures of Tyson Fury with Tyson Chandler, who was measured without shoes for the NBA draft at 6'11.5".......no way that Fury is a legit 6'9".

Also, someone tell me who the best opponent taller than 6'3" that Fury has beaten.

He's got his reputation for his boxing skills entirely against short, one-dimensional plodders without much power who were made for him to look good. Notice that when he faced Cunningham, who actually has some skill and speed, he didn't look nearly as good. Wlad on the other hand has dominated against a range of styles and sizes for years.

Tyson is such a prat and an unpredictable loose cannon outside the ring, by fight time Wlad will want to chin him like no other opponent and that's the only thing that might work for Tyson although I expect Wlad to get him out if there by the mid way mark....but an event to watch I just hope the fight matches the hype.

What makes you a "legit" 6 foot 9? Speculation based on a couple of photos in shoes is meaningless. He's certainly taller than Wlad and has been measured at 6 foot 9 so who are you to state otherwise?

Fury might not have faced an elite opponent at 6 foot 6 but Wlad has never faced anyone as skilled as Fury at 6 foot 9 either.

I'd also take the Cunningham fight with a pinch of salt - Fury is a lot more disciplined now than when he went in gung-ho giving up his reach.

LOL--was Fury also measured at 6'7" and 6'8" after turning pro then? Billed heights are often exaggerated, and for his to increase like that suggests to me that this was the case with his too.

How do you know he's been measured at 6'9" and isn't just bull****ting to market himself as some sort of HW giant? Tyson Chandler HAS been measured at 6'11.5" without shoes for the NBA draft, and he towered over Fury in their picture together.....a much bigger height difference than 2.5 inches.

Sure, Fury is taller than Wlad, but it's hardly the big difference people were talking of and bigger disparities are evident all the time.

At the start Fury was jabbing plenty and looking to box in that fight, but it was a lot harder when he wasn't facing a short, one-dimensional plodder like Hammer or Chisora. Fury hasn't beaten one remotely decent HW over 6'3" and while Wlad obviously hasn't defeated someone exactly like Fury he's fought a much wider range of styles and abilities, including some bigger contenders like prime McCline. Fury has also been kept away from fighters with power, and his trips to the canvas against light hitters like Pajkic and USS might show why.

The height difference between Fury and Wlad isn't much anyway, as is very clear in the recent pictures where Fury isn't standing on his toes like he was for their pic with Lee and Steward....not a 3 inch difference at all.

I'm not talking about peoples opinions on 'size difference', I'm talking about reality. Fury looks at least 2 inches taller than Wladimir and that's with a bald head. 6 foot 9 seems pretty accurate to me. If fighters increase their heights for marketability, would the same not apply to Wladimir and hence cancel out?

Also, I don't have a clue who this Tyler bloke you keep ****ing on about is.
