Golovkin/Lemieux in October? Hearing it's possible.

Tonight I've noticed both SI writer Chris Mannix and UCN Live's Steve Kim tweeting about a potential matchup between these two going down on October the 17th, potentially at MSG. Mannix in particular says that there are real talks ongoing, and the money is there to make it happen; it's just a matter of Lemieux himself saying he wants to take the fight.

Can you imagine this and Cotto/Canelo in the span of a month? And the fact that Klitschko/Fury, Lomachenko/Rigondeaux (maybe), Matthysse/Postol etc. are all within a relatively short space of time? Seems like the last half of the year might be enough to wash this awful PBC taste out of our mouths.

Yea because those barn burners and huge ratings on pbc are a real threat. If anything, hbo has put on more blowouts this year than ever.

I can't help but feel like Lemieux being with GBP = Canelo vs Lemieux in 2016 & the winner fighting GGG later in the year.

This would be a fun fight while it lasted if it did happen.
