You're making it sound like it's Holyfield-Romney. This is a fight between two professionals, and the fact that it is free does not change the fact that it's completely unwatchable.

Hey everyone, I'm not a fan of a certain fighter, but i feel like he owes me something and needs to prove himself to me. I think he needs my approval/guidance on how he should finish his career or he'll endure the risk of his legacy being forever tainted. I will not rest until said fighter faces every available flavor of the month because he knows my opinions will keep him up at night.

It is though. This is Holyfield/Romney, Butterbean/Kimbo Slice, Roy Jones/Hopkins 2, James Toney/Shamrock, Mosley/Mayorga 2, etc. It's a pointless fairwell exhibition. It's "Berto stole my girl so he will pay".

His last meaningful fight was May 2, 2015. There is zero reason to even follow his career from this point forward.

And with all that said, it's still not official. But even if it was, who cares?

Hopkins has faced several Berto level opponents over the course of his career. Boxrec any fighter you consider an ATG. All had soft touches in between the big fights they're remembered for. Dude just fought the biggest fight in the history of boxing. Is he not allowed to scale it back a bit?
