Kovalev is an HBO exclusive, so how are they not part of the problem? Haymon needs all of his fighters for PBC, so there's no way he'd let them fight off that platform (maybe he'll surprise us). Both sides have made their minds up and aren't gonna work with one another. When the next purse bid come around again and it involves Kovalev vs. a Haymon fighter, we can assume the result. "Krusher" Kov will soon be a king without a crown.

Haymon has made boxing on free TV somewhat a regularity for the first time in a long time. Just because Mutant Nations most recent monkey spank fuels are in the equation does mean the sport is being hurt. Kovalev and GGG have other options. Them not liking those options is a personal problem.

Pretty sure they barked and barked for a fight with Stevenson and when he came to the table they ran. They know better than to match him with good fighters.

Hopkins was the most skilled he fought and it would have been a meaningful victory had he not been 48 years old. There are fighter namely Dawson and Taylor who have beaten far superior versions of Hopkins. You cant give him that much credit for beating a guy that was so old he could only average 9 punches per round.

You won't see him fight Fonfara, Stevenson, Bieterbev, or Ward. You simply wont see it. He is the Manny Pacquiao of the LHW division.

That's nice and all but reality is that after he knocks out Mohammedi, Beterbiev becomes the mandatory challenger for IBF strap. I don't see them fighting this year, but next year Beterbiev's side could easily just force a purse bid by declining all offers and then Kovalev would be forced to vacate his belt before fighting on PBC. I'm not sure why they would want to do that other than to get back at Duva. Considering Beterbiev is relatively unknown.

That's the only belt I see him vacating.

Fonfara and Beterbiev are in the top 6 for every belt. Chilemba (WBC #1) could turn out to be an ace in the hole for Main Events (assuming Chilemba isn't a HBO exclusive too).

while that might be true haymon has showed recently the last few years that his fighters will enter purse bids even more so recently for big fights. besides a fighter here or there but even the stevenson kovalav purse bid that everyone was so sure haymon was avoiding at all cost he sent his fighter in to the purse bid with no intention to pull him. maybe he wins the bid but that doesnt matter. i just hate how people are ignoring reality to keep their story going. somehow everyone gives hbo a pass when in reality they should of let their fighters enter purse bids. hbo is the problem always has been the problem

Other than Adonis/Kov, what purse bids have happened during PBC's life-span? From now on, I don't think any Haymon fighter will be fighting on HBO, so I expect him (or the promoters he works with) to win every purse-bid. Povetkin/Wilder will be interesting if it goes to purse-bid because Povetkin seems to have a lot of money behind him.

Don't need to be an expert read between the lines person to see that when Duva says "one day he won't need all these belts" she's saying once Beterbiev becomes the mandatory for a belt & Duva knows she can't win a purse bid, Kovalev will be dropping that title.
I'd bet on two of the belts being vacated (Beterbiev will be elevated to #1 IBF challenger following the Mohammedi fight [IBF is pretty good at enforcing their mandatories], the Fonfara-Cleverly winner [I think it'd be Fonfara] is likely to be elevated to #1 challenger by WBA, and both guys will likely move up the WBO rankings as well).

At least, with those two moves, both Beterbiev and Fonfara get pushed off the WBO's rankings, leaving the slate without a Haymon-affiliated fighter anywhere near forcing a mandatory position on Kovalev.

Haymon was willing to put Stevenson-Kovalev up for open bid, with the fight going to whatever broadcaster that would put more money in the pocket of the fighters. You add the lack of pushback against Lara's desire to get the Golovkin fight (who is exclusive to HBO), and I doubt that Haymon is as protectionist as you're making him out to be.
