not really. I think real fans just want to see tough challenges befitting of someone that claims to be TBE. Like how SRL fought Hagler after not fighting for 3 yrs. Instead, Mayweather returns from his retirement and fights someone 2 weight classes below, not 2 above.
Also, Mayweather has been great at picking his oppoenents at the right time in their career - for instance, instead of fighting Mosely in '06 and Pac in '09, he fought them in '10 and '15, when it was clear to Floyd that they weren't the same fighters anymore.
Floyd is brilliant at managing his career for optimal earnings, but no tru boxing head really believes that he wants a tough challenge. he's a great fighter and an even greater manager of himself

And if Floyd fought Mosely too late, why does Manny get props for beating an even older version? And why didn't Floyd fight Pac in '09? Didn't Freddie Roach already admit that it was Team Pacquiao's fault for not accepting blood testing? Didn't Arum duck Floyd before he went to jail because Manny had a bad cut, and he needed a stadium built? And if SRL waited 3 yrs before fighting Hagler, didn't SRL "wait until he thought the time was right" to fight Hagler?
