That's about all the longer It Is going to take. It Is like night and day when you have someone In your gym like Marcos Maidana who Is relentless and has a tremendous work ethic as opposed to someone like Jr who shows up to train only If he feels like It and puts forth no effort.

Chavez is a powerful puncher. If he could average 60 quality punches round after round he might be a legit champion. His two handed punching power and good chin is about all he has going for him. He is slow and clumsy and his foot work stinks. He averages about 25 punches a round and he telegraphs his punches. He is overall not a very good fighter.Comment

Sometimes Jr. shows a good solid body punching but he is inconsistent and then he looks slow with horrible foot work. it appears as if after 51 pro fights he hasn't found his most effective style yet. At the end all comes from lacking dedication and discipline.Chavez is a powerful puncher. If he could average 60 quality punches round after round he might be a legit champion. This tweet is fine, but I take issue with Fat Dan talking about anyone not making weight. If he can't make 268, he can't talk about Jr not making 168Why even have a ref? Just let Chavez keep refereeing. #boxing #ChavezReyes

You might be delusion-ally BIASED. The point deduction was BOGUS!! See the replay. How the heck can any competent ref call that INTENTIONAL??!!! The ref was trying to $eal the fight for Chavez Jr BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY!!Comment

Haven't yet had a chance to see the fight, but people need to keep perspective here.
It took Robert Garcia four fight camps to take the Maidana that he got and turn him into the Maidana that he became (working behind the jab, moving his head on the way in/out, working in the occasional half-step, some defensive awareness, all in addition to his own rugged natural style).
If Chavez Jr comes back, give Robert Garcia 2-3 more camps before making a judgement.Comment

It takes dedication and a work ethic before any trainer Including Robert Garcia can make a difference. Jr has neither. He lost three months ago, one would think that that would be motivation enough to make a statement tonight. Instead he comes In over weight. There Is no excuse for that.Haven't yet had a chance to see the fight, but people need to keep perspective here.

Recent Fighters that lasted more than 6 rounds with GGG include: Osumanu Adama, Curtis Stevens, and Gabe Rosado.
Chavez hits harder than any fighter GGG has ever faced. Chavez has a good chin. Give Garcia some time and Chavez the benefit of the doubt - him missing weight was just a function of their scale being off.Comment
