Why did floyd duck a oscar rematch at 154

True.
He wanted no part of the top guys at 147, those you named were punchers, none had been stopped at the time. He would have lost the 0 if he fought those 4 b2b.
Plus the Oscar fight was close, so what if he lost, either rightfully or a gift for Oscar.
Floyd has always followed the path of least resistance. If he fights Berto, I will not watch.Comment

It was a close fight, Oscar might have won but he gassed out late.
There was a rematch clause in the fight contract, that is why Floyd retired for 1 year and 1 day.
If he handily beat him, why not rematch? It was one of the best fighters of the generation, he gave Castillo and Maidana rematches.Comment

Put the pipe down if you think that fight was in any way close at all. That was an easy 8-4ish fight. Castillo and Maidana actually did enough(If not more) to deserve rematches. It was a close fight, Oscar might have won but he gassed out late.

Read above. And by that logic why would he duck DLH who he beat a lot easier than BOTH Maidana and Castillo. Use your brain please. It was a close fight, Oscar might have won but he gassed out late.

Margarito is the only legitimate duck....possibly the punisher too. Cotto and Mosley were not. It's like people forget that he tried to fight Cotto in 04 and Mosley in 06 and was turned down. But when they called and the timing wasn't right for Floyd it's a duck. You can't have it both ways.Comment
