Yes indeed! That's exactly what Jeff just said! If Mayweather does not accept GGG's offer to fight @ 154, then Team Mayweather doesn't believe Floyd can win. If they did, GGG would be the absolute perfect CBS fight to make! It would generate nearly as much money as Creed vs. Balboa 2!

2 truths can exist simultaneously. Floyd is ducking GGG @ 154, and GGG is ducking Ward @ 168. Floyd and GGG both have illegitimate excuses for making the best fight they can at this point in time. Floyd should accept a GGG fight @ 154, and if GGG can't get Floyd @ 154, he should accept Ward's challenge @ 168!Comment

Interesting....But he so happened to be willing to move up to fight Froch a couple of weeks ago...Very interesting...The same reason why Ward does not want to fight Kovalev before GGG. Once he gains the weight, it will be hard to go down again, without compromising his abilities. And GGG can kiss goodbye the fights with Canelo/Cotto and Lemieux. He was willing to overlook this for Froch/Chavez because of huge money involved, I think...Comment

GGG deserves the same perks as Hoya, Cotto and Nelo now?!?...who did GGG beat in order to be compensated with Floyd moving up to fight him?!?...what has GGG done in the sport that WARRANTS Floyd's attention?!?...Twitter followers?!?...YouTube views?!?... I mean what is it?!?

Floyd be like, yeah I'll fight 154 for 7-years ring removed ODLH. Totally ok with 154 for Cotto and 152 for Canelo but 147 for the Good BoyTrainer Jeff Mayweather, the uncle of WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., says his nephew has no business facing WBA/IBO middleweight king Gennady "GGG" Golovkin - unless the fight takes place at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds.
Golovkin and his team members have mentioned the idea of dropping down to 154-pounds to face Mayweather, who does hold the WBC/WBA titles at junior middleweight. Mayweather has not fought in a junior middleweight contest in over two years, and that fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez took place at a catch-weight of 152-pounds.

. If that's not fear, I don't know what is. Granted, I don't think he needs this fight or even should take this fight, just calling out what they're saying for what it is.
And the funny thing is no floyd-fan posters will see anything wrong with that. They shat on GGG for offering 168 to Froch and Chavez but 164 for Ward. Even though Froch had little desire to fight again and 168 was the only way that fight was happening and despite Chavez not being able to make <168 anymore (couldn't make 170 ffs).Comment

"Ward beats GGG's ass at 168"
"GGG needs to come to 147 so Floyd can whoop him"
Everyone demanding that GGG weaken himself in some form in order to make a fight. Thought he was easy work, why all the need for advantages?
"Floyd has no business fighting a guy like Golovkin" - Jeff Mayweather
Regardless of whether Floyd would or would not win at 154 or 147...the statement above is all I need to see to determine how Jeff truly feels about that fight. You can interject any kind of spin on the tale end of that you want but that is the core sentiment.Comment
