Trainer Jeff Mayweather, the uncle of WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., says his nephew has no business facing WBA/IBO middleweight king Gennady "GGG" Golovkin - unless the fight takes place at the welterweight limit of 147-pounds.

Golovkin and his team members have mentioned the idea of dropping down to 154-pounds to face Mayweather, who does hold the WBC/WBA titles at junior middleweight. Mayweather has not fought in a junior middleweight contest in over two years, and that fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez took place at a catch-weight of 152-pounds.

**** Jeff Mayweather. Seriously 154 is not unreasonable. Floyd should only fight GGG if he wants to seriously be considered the best ever. If he's fine with being one of the best then he shouldn't be expected to but if him and his fanboys truly think he's the best ever, do what two other welterweights have done. He's not even asking to fight at 160. Both Sugar rays did it. You *****es hate GGG because he makes you feel insecure or something. Oh his competition sucks, well your favorite fighters wont fight him. Yea yea the Ward thing. I like Ward and I hope the fight happens sometime but again GGG shou;d be allowed to clean out the middleweight division. Why all of sudden everybody acting like Floyd has to fight GGG?

After Floyd beat manny the guy they thought Floyd would never fight or beat are trying to throw somebody else name in there just to say Floyd never fought him so he is not that great.

floyd beating triple g will do nothing for him at this point in his career and then they will say Floyd has to beat some other guy if it happened.

News flash floyds era is over it's time for these guys to fight each other and stop worrying about Floyd and become the next huge star.

There are weight classes for a reason. Floyd (who has been outweighed by 10+ pounds by other welterweights) shouldnt be fighting a career middleweight
