Fight should be held in Vegas imo. That's as neutral as it gets and that's where the biggest fights typically take place.

However, if it's in NY I can go!! The main thing is that the fight gets made though.

MSG would have made perfect sense after the PR parade. Remind me again why this fight couldn't have happened back in June. Because they needed their pointless tuneups? If Cotto vacates his MW belt, why would Mayweather have any interest in a rematch? He has already beat him comfortably, with no option of winning a belt in yet another division, Cotto brings nothing to the table for Mayweather.

Just like Miguel, Canelo will get big money for fighting anyone. If Miguel causes the fight to fall apart over diva demands, it's not going to be Canelo that takes a hit.

Cotto's manager is on record saying Cotto doesn't care where the fight takes place and he wants the fight to make the most money possible. Now its NY or no fight?
HBO is making Cotto take this fight, they wouldn't have aired his last sparring session unless he agreed to fight Canelo. Cotto knows damn well what happens when he steps up to elite competition, he takes a loss like always. See Margarito, Pacquiao, Floyd, Trout. Canelo will be the next one to hang an L. on Cotto.

If MSG is matching or competitive with the money that is being offered by the MGM Grand, why would Cotto not push for the venue that's more comfortable for him?
