If Floyd was to fight Lara, it should be on PPV and promoted as a cure for insomnia. A fight guaranteed to put even the most hyper of individuals to sleep almost immediately. They could package the video and sell it in pharmacies as a sleep aid.
he is not using his name, he is been trying to fight him for the past 2 or 3 years, fighting Lara will be ggg first real test...

Why do you have to be a purist to prefer Lara over Berto, even Khan?

... maybe because the Cuban style is often labelled as "purist"?

Good match up, I'd watch it, but no way Floyd has the balls to fight Lara imo, he'll duck Lara same way he ducked Khan.

Where are the boxing purists? (wink wink) Why are they not demanding this fight? This is a super chess match starred by two slick fighters. (wink wink) We need to promote this fight. Who cares about casual fans? Make it happen.

They say that so they can validate being a Floyd or lara fan. Even though being a fan of theirs is just that same reason Mexicans support other Mexicans, they support their your own kind. Ive heard it over and over again from Floyd fans that they love him because they are purist, when they don't even know what it means. Those same fans would be loving Floyd even if was a puncher/brawler and say they love him becauses hes a true fighter.

There is nothing Pure about Lara's boxing. He just moves and runs and gets on his bike to avoid getting hit, and then he will occasionally punch back. Thats not pure boxing.

Pure boxing is to hit a guy then make your opponent miss you then punish the guy immediately for missing you. Not run, dance, run then occasionally hit. Lara style is nothing pure. Floyd can pull it off well but Lara NO.

We're demanding the Berto megafight. What more do you want from us?

Any more reasons why this fight has never been demanded by so-called boxing fans?
