In the calendar year in between the 2014-2015 ESPY's, Rousey won one fight. In the oh so deeply talented and historic women's 130 pound division of the UFC.

In the same exact time span , Williams wins all four women's Major championships against the best her sport has to offer every time out, with a history of 90+ years.

She has only beat up on the best bums they can put in front of her, and hasnt done anything to suggest that she can take a punch from Ray Rice, walk right through it, then pick him up and dump him.

I wouldn't attach much gravitas to those type awards. as a rule of thumb awards of this nature should stay stricktly in a particular discipline. One wouldn't say a female Chinese table top tennis player is better than Venus Williams and be taken seriously. I think people know Floyd wouldn't care about an award of this nature, it is an award designed to hype up, like a press release. You can't seriously think that because of an award given by people who are not even experts in an area means someone is the best...By the way I've been meaning to ask if I could count on your nomination for the poster with the best personality on the board....see where I am going with this MM? How in fvcs name could anyone here determine which poster has the best personality? She has done some stuff...i will give her the Klitschko argument: "well its not Vlad's fault the division is weak!" Yes yes it becomes a slippery slope of the absurd and ******...it starts with can rhonda beat a man, it then regresses to can rhonda beat the average internet tough... who somehow finds it gratifying thinking that at the very least they could take a woman athlete...

Most people have a warped sense of this from when Billy Jean King and Bobby Riggs had their tennis contest. What people fail to realize is that this was a big PR stunt and in fact Riggs and King became great friends. Riggs had charisma and hupfsfa, and Billy King actually did have somethng to prove, bit alas we have moved on.
