Comments Thread For: Tyson Fury Vows To Retire if He Can't Beat Klitschko

Unbeaten British heavyweight Tyson Fury (24-0, 18KOs) has vowed to retire is he's unable to defeat WBO/IBO/WBA/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (64-3) on October 24th in Dusseldorf, Germany.

Fury has stopped his last four opponents, but none of them are close to Klitschko's level. The champion fought in April, when he won a twelve round unanimous decision over Bryant Jennings.

that would be a shame. i honestly think he has a real deal chance to win this fight tho and fury has to remember klitscko is not a normal 38 he has the attributes of a 24 year old. i wont say hes on something but hes on something

Makes sense. Get a great paycheck, start a business, do commercials.

All well keeping his faculties intact.

Until the itch comes again in a couple of years.... than voila- well paid comeback.

Klitschko is now in the 40th year of his life.

Fury is correct: if he can't beat a physically declining 40-year-old man who showed his age in his last fight, then he should retire.

also lets remember fury is the type of person who just says stuff cause he feels like it. i highly doubt hes serious but we shall see i think he chin checks klit to be honest but i also think good chance klit chin checks fury as well tho fury has shown ability while getting knocked down to get right back up

This cracked me up! Klitschko is taking great care of himself, exercise and diet. I wonder how much longer he'll fight for. For a heavyweight he's still going strong which is unusual and very impressive.

But Hopkins is the one that amazes me, I want to know his secrets

He ain't retiring. Just talking trash as always. Klitschko is not your average 40 year old. He trains 365 days a year. He is a huge step up from chisora who is fury's
best win... No shame in losing

Klitschko is ripe for the taking I think. He's old. I just don't think Fury's chin will hold up long enough for him to be the one to pull it off.
