After analyzing what happened last Saturday in Acapulco, the World Boxing Council has determined in coordination with FECOMBOX, to declare the bout between Mariana "La Barbie" Juarez and Lorena Taborda a "No Contest."
Twenty official rings certified by the WBC scored the fight by tape. And in spite of there being an acknowledged and enormous difference of watching a fight live at ringside, as opposed to seeing it on TV, the results were unanimous and the conclusion was to declare the match a “No Contest” as the scorecards of two judges are unacceptable.
