Is the vacant British title on the line & if not why not? BTW: What happened to the Joshua/Whyte fight?

A part of me really thinks fights like this shouldn't even be sanctioned. Joshua is going to seriously flatten that guy inside a round.

He is like Robert Helenius's disabled twin brother
Exactly, looks like someone from a tough man competition. No training, slow. Well he works out well for Joshua, gives the illusion he is taking a risk fighting an "undefeated young talent".

Joshua-Whyte is supposedly happening in November/December. But then Joshua was said to be fighting a 'big name' on Sept 12 so I wouldn't count on it...

Young, tall, undefeated, hungry and sponsored by Ginsters. Joshua is in serious trouble.

This is a mismatch, Cornish isn't very good.

I was hoping for someone like Thompson or Wach.

But Joshua-Whyte will be an interesting matchup.

Going from fighting someone like Thompson to Whyte would be a step backwards though, so I can see why this fight was made even if i do think it's a horrible mismatch.

Lousy fight, Cornish is a plodding punching bag, he's fought NO-ONE! Joshua will blast him out inside 2 rounds, guaranteed. So much for a 'huge fight' Hearn promised...LOL. I guess now he's got the Whyte fight signed he just wants a run out for AJ in Sept. But even the Whyte fight isn't that much of a step up, Whyte is a novice who hasn't looked particularly great as a pro. We probably won't see AJ tested until winter 2016. Whyte is being marketed as a huge dust up because of their amateur background but that was years and years ago and come on, the only threat Whyte brings is that he has ambition - unlike all of Joshua's opponents to date.

Haha, so true. Though that usually means PPV...

This is a waste of time. Hearn talking crap again.
