That's why fans need to do something about excessive hugging. Throw tomatoes or something when you see it at ringside if the ref does nothing about it. Bump threads about it when these huggers are fighting. We need to put this topic in the forefront when known huggers are fighting. Believe me, commentators are reading these threads. We also need to focus on refs that don't do anything about it. Running is running, no one can do anything about it.

These fighters need to be exposed for what they really are, one-dimensional.

TS has a point. These people think cause they tune in to EVERY fight that they're helping the sport. No, you're not. By tuning in to bs matches like Garcia vs Salka all you're doing is telling the promoter "Oh hey, if they're willing to watch this they'll watch ANYTHING so let's feed them more **** fights."
but that's not what the ts is talking about he talking about not going for ko and wanting more slugfest type of fights

I havent watched a Wlad fight since he fought Ibragimov. I was so turned off by his jabbing/hugging/leaning display that I vowed to never watch him again, and by the sounds of things, I havent missed much.

I also refuse to watch Lara run and prance around the ring after seeing what he did against Canelo. That was just awful.

I think he's just talking about drama in a fight, there doesn't have to be a ko in order to have drama.

That was honestly the worst performance I've ever seen, it was a disgrace. I can't believe I paid $70 bucks for that.

The biggest difference between a casual and a die hard fan is if a casual fan is going to watch it has to be an exciting fight and a die will watch all types of fights exciting or not. In order for the sport of boxing to grow and move back to the mainstream we need to accommodate the casual fans needs. I respect that they will only watch exciting fights abd by exciting fights I'm not saying some Straight up brawl. Just a great competitive fight where you can see both guys are giving the all and leaving all they have in the ring. I don't believe in the casual fans Dksab. Paceman-Floyd the biggest fight in history as far as ppv is concerned had everyone tuned in casuals and all. I'll admit Pac strunk up the joint and laid an egg. He was really bad. Floyd coasted to victory quite easily. By mid fight it was all over. My biggest problem with the fight was yea Floyd knew by mid fight it was in the bag(which is the way for all his fights) So he figured he would just coast to victory instead of really going for it and stepping on the gas and trying to KO pacman. If he would have done that the fight would have been 100times better. He may have not gotten the KO but if he would have put more effort into it instead of just coasting, because pacquiao was doing shyte, everyone would have notice(even casuals) and it wouldn't have left a bad taste it everyone's mouth.

On the other hand, fighters, especially short ones, who are trying to close in to get their shots, are labeled in a negative tone when the truth is it's just as hard and requires meticulous movement and skill. Without such fighters, boxing is dead.

Forget so-called hardcores. They are pretentious pukes that will kill boxing.
Fuck outta here with that bullshit! Power punchers KO monsters and offensive fighters in general are way more stanned than the so called "slick" fighters from casuals too and on a forum like this too.
My favourite is when someone cries like a bitch that pressure fighters aren't respected enough when half of this forum are hanging on Golovkin's and Kovalev's nuts while they're bashing all the time the likes of Mayweather or Ward. If you don't realize this and you try to make it out like offensive fighters would be some kind of victims of unpleasant, pretentious "hardcore fans" then I don't even know if we are talking about the same forum(s) or not.

Your comment about slick fighters can't fight on the inside is also worth a giant face palm. Yeah, the likes of Ward, Mayweather, Rigo can't fight on the inside that's why they have a good footwork. Whitaker also had a good footwork because he couldn't fight on the inside I guess.
I don't see many from the type of "pretentious pukes" you mentioned, I see a lot more ignorant users like you who share their valuable thoughts about good footwork means that they can't fight on the inside.
Also don't understand how the mentioned type will kill boxing if the are just a narrow layer of fans and the usual experience on fights that fighters who are "slick" get booed if they don't exchange as much as the viewers want from them. On which planet do you live? Tell me! Do you even think before you post a comment?

If someone criticize you, you can't take it and argue but you act like a fuckboy. After all, maybe it's even better that you didn't share with me your brand new wisdoms that are similar to "good footwork = can't fight on the inside".
