They don't have to change the rules. No one is talking about changing the rules. Problem is effing refs don't enforce them. Excessive clinchers, for example, rarely get any warning.

***** thing about so-called hardcore fans is that theyre predictable. Runners and clinchers are automatically praised to high heavens when in reality they're one-dimensional. They lacked inside skills, yet they're slick doe. And the guy who does have inside skills get zero credit. There are even cases where common sense is all it takes like when a short guy is chasing a runner, then the come-forward label begins. How tf would he get his shots without closing in?

I see deciding where the fight takes place at as a strategic move not running. Granted some guys do run, but its usually not the guys most often accused of it. Like Mayweather for example. Outside of the last round in some of his fights where he's up 10-1 or w/e he isn't a runner & usually stands right in front of guys or as I mentioned makes strategic movement to decide where the fight will take place at. Thats some Art of War, Sun Tzo **** right there & its lost on so many boxing fans it seems for some reason. Its a huge advantage for the guys who are capable of doing such a thing & would be ****** not to do it.

Casual fans only like the violence of boxing, they do not care about any technical skill. Same way casual hoops fans love the dunk contest but would never watch a Spurs game or watch a game with Vince Carter playing instead of 2 great teams because Vince might unleash a double 360 tomahawk dunk.

We all love a Matthysse/Provodnikov or Gatti/Ward. But that doesn't mean we all want to see 2 bums **** it out on BKB.

If the guy losing will not "risk winning", why should the guy winning "risk losing"?

As for entertaining, the only time I am not entertained in a fight is when one or both guys doesn't do what it takes to win. I have never seen a boring fight where the guy losing goes balls out to win.
