Comments Thread For: Brook Replaces Froch at Top UK Fighter, Says Moore

Former fighter and Sky Sports expert analyst Jamie Moore has tabbed IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (34-0, 25KOs) as the best fighter in the UK - after Carl Froch's retirement from boxing earlier this week.

It was surprised that Moore selected Brook over his domestic rival Amir Khan, who's been fighting in the United States for several years and is very well known and established in the sport.

Change that to "will cry, complain, and campaign to clear his name - as long as he Khan."

I'd say that title goes to Carl Frampton.

Can't believe Khan let him take the throne like that, would've been a great fight to watch, especially in the UK.

Rightly so. Brook was the #1 UK fighter to me while Froch was around as well. Brook is infinitely more talented that caveman Froch.

This is some hollow mumbo jumbo from Moore. So, what variables are being used to determine UK's top fighter by Jamie? Oh resumes are definitely not one. Because according to Moore he has really come on his own since winning the title.........yeah by beating Dan and Gavin ff.

Not to mention he says and to paraphrase: After Carl, the guy with most World level wins is Khan and, while Khan is more established "especially" in States it detracts from his pull over here being the reason for his opinion. So, according to him resumes mean jack ****

It's really is like saying oh please let's not look at things that count.

Froch was great, he goes straight into the HoF. Brook still has it all to do, wins over Senchenko & Porter are all he has right now.
