So Haymon puts on a shitty card down the street (featuring huge, popular draws like Shumenov and BJ Flores ) and Duva can't beat that with Kovalev???

That's sad and embarrassing for her.

Enjoying the game of "chicken" is one thing but thanks to Haymon's feud with HBO, none of us get to see Kovalev v Stevenson.
Interesting take ! In some people's eyes , the big networks are simply beyond reproach . *** HBO , they don't mind GGG AND Kovalev fighting no bodies all the time, but when Ward ask for one tune up after a layoff they tell him to take his show elsewhere . HBO is cheap and controlling and I'm glad Haymon didn't limit himself to their network as if their the only act in town . Now Haymon has a plethora of options to air any fight while Duva (for Kovalev at least) has just one . Kov/Stevenson not happening has more to do with HBO not respecting free market protocol , than it does Haymon .

These comments and others by Duva make it clear to me that she is doing so to layout out the blueprint for her to join Golden Boy and Top Rank in lawsuits towards Haymon and PBC.

You do realize that the Cold War is over don't you?

As far as the fight is concerned they should have fought in AC.

If Ward wants to fight tune ups on HBO or Showtime who also refused him by the way, he should be willing to do so for tune up money, not for a $2 million minimum. And he was not asking for ONE tune up, he was asking for THREE at 2 mill each which is more than GGG or Kov have gotten for any of their fights on the network.

HBO pays realistic money for their fights.

Some people have no clue where the beef with Haymon and HBO came from. It started when Haymon used his leverage with other fighters to try and strong arm and shake HBO down to buy horrible mismatched fights at inflated rates. Telling HBO if you don't buy fighter A fighting a tomato can of my choice then fighter B, C and D will be unhappy and will fight on a different network. He also did not want to allow his fighters to sign any contracts with HBO. What network would be dumb enough to overpay for mismatch showcase fights with no contract so after the showcase they can leverage for a bigger fight on another network?

HBO didnt want to be extorted for garbage fights and thats why they banned him. That's bad business and you see how dumb Showtime looks now for doing what HBO refused to settle for. They were served nothing but mismatches all last year which they paid out the nose for but had no contracts and Haymon took all those fighters to network TV cutting showtime out the loop. Haymon doesn't want his fighters to sign contracts with a promoter or network etc. Yet forces all his fighters to sign contracts with him. If you don't sign with Haymon he will refuse to work with you so why is that any different from HBO refusing to work with Haymon because he restricts his fighters from signing and tried to extort money from them.
