They were always going to struggle to sell tickets to this. A showcase fight in Vegas in July? Even good fights don't sell well in Vegas in Summer. Khan Garcia was empty a few years ago at Mandalay Bay too.

How about not taking Casino handouts and actually try and build Kovalev as a ticket seller. He lives in CA now they should have put this fight at Stub Hub and try to build him up here.

This is a mandatory fight so I'll give them a pass on this fight. Still, maybe a different venue would have been better or piggyback on another card perhaps, as an undercard fight or "co-main event" (which is the nice way of saying it).
