If Floyd chooses Berto or "insert name here" then going forward Khan will either have to retire or start facing the other contenders (Manny, Brook, Porter, Thurman, Maidana).

Perhaps ... Just perhaps, the stigma of turning down a multimillion dollar, championship fight with Brook pre-Algeri and post-Algeri has something to do with it.

That was a horrible move by Team Khan and it demonstrated to the world that the Khan-man has undisclosed fears concerning Brook and other top contenders. You cannot publicly state that a champion is not on your level, when you don't have any belts at all. Brook, like him or not has been drooling to KTFO Amir Khan, and Khan knows it, which calls into question his heart. It easy to mention this name or that name, but to actually fight them is another thing entirely, and this is the Khan-man's M.O. to a tee.
