Comments Thread For: Povetkin's Coach Saw 'Same Mistakes' in Deontay Wilder

Ivan Kirpa, who trains heavyweight Alexander Povetkin (29-1, 21KOs), has dissected the recent victory by WBC champion Deontay Wilder (34-0, 33KOs).

In May, Povetkin knocked out Mike Perez in one round to become the mandatory challenger to Wilder's championship. Wilder made the first defense of his belt by knocking out Eric Molina in nine rounds last month.

The World Boxing Council will order the two fighters to negotiate the terms of their contest in October.

If Wilder beats povetkin, it will be great watching the haters eat crow again like after the stiverne fight.

well in their defense stiverne danm near shat his pants as soon as he walked into the ring. Dude was scared ****less. Povetkin wont, so if wilder pulls it off instead of all these voluntary defenses then he will get credit

Povatkin is good for Wilder. Wilder has got to get better setting up his punches.

Geez what a good trainer he is. He saw "some mistakes" in Wilder, no kidding? Anyone with two good eyes can see "tons of mistakes" in wilder. Instead of seeing his mistakes what does he do good? Because what he does good is way less than what he bad? Its just his size and power that have got him to where he is at today?

                WBC is a corrupt joke.

The pathetic coward Wilder is ducking Povetkin.

Povetkin easily destroys the American hypejob Wilder.

I know. And Povetkin is a flawless fighter right? I mean anyone can see Wilder's flaws. Question is can he exploit them? Can he stop Wilder from exploiting his flaws?

And this is exactly the reason we won't ever see the fight, Wilder unifies with Wlad on ppv next year.
