    It's actually quite embarrassing...

I voted yes. He almost never fights and when he does fight it is not against the better welterweights. Of course he could lose fighting Brook, Thurman or Porter so maybe that is why he fights such easy guys and so rarely fights at all. It seems like he wanted the most risk free way of getting the Mayweather fight. He beats some average fighters and then tries to insult Mayweather into fighting him with this man up stuff or saying everybody wants this fight. If he gets the Mayweather fight and by some miracle wins the fight what will he do then? Will he finally fight the best hard punching welterweights or will he continue protecting his chin by not fighting them? Khan has a weak chin and it is not going to suddenly get better. He can't beat Mayweather but even if he did he will still be remembered for his weak chin and never be considered a great fighter except by a few diehard fans.

              Obviously.

He could have beaten Alexander in December 2013 and landed the Mayweather fight instead of Maidana. Instead he wasn't confident enough to do that and took the chance that Mayweather would choose him anyway. He's avoiding fights we want to see and fighting no threats, yet two of those "non-threats" almost beat his china-chin overrated ass anyways.

So yeah, he's not only wasted his time since Garcia blasted him out, but he's sullied the "take on all comers" reputation he used to have in the process.

He's definitely not taken the optimal route for his career. Than again if the biggest name in the game gots you high on his shortlist of opponents for so long its kinda hard not to take "careful" fights instead of the big fight that mighta 100% gotten you the fight you wanted, but that you might lose. Difficult spot Khan was in in many ways. Ultimately I think it'll payoff cuz his name has been inflated due to all this Mayweather talk & he'll probably get a bunch of big fights post-Mayweather.

i dont' think so. khan has to stay away from hard punchers. another knockout after the garcia fight could have ended his career. i always feel like khan's another prescott away from retirement.

looking fora floyd mayweather fight and taking light touches allows you to keep an eye on your chin and retool after the garcia fight.

khan makes a hell of a lot of money. he's in with big promotors and networks over ehre, and he's still a star over here. he draws from the well twice. big time, crossover british fighters get paid. they always have. there are just very few of htem, and they never reach the zenith that a top american draw / imported draw [pacquiao] can reach.

he gets freaking paid to fight these cans. i don't think thety're doing poorly with his career.

keep him away from kell brook. you won't get paid much more, unless you are planning to build it as a big, domestic fight, which it isn't yet. and you're gonna get freaking knocked out.

our kell would bully khan, around. khan may win some rounds early on, but he's not going to get on his bike for 12 rounds against our kell. and he wont' be able to tie our kell up if he's hurt. his chance to survive would be to fight off of the ropes, and hope that he could get brook's respect with offense. id on't think he's that sharp offensively any longer in the later stages of the fight. his legs aren't what they once were.
