Watching that video it's easy to see why Berto was so hyped up. He really did the real deal until the Collazo and Ortiz fights. It would be great if he could show that kind of form vs Floyd and give him a few tough rounds.

Andre Berto is likely fighting Mayweather because he holds the WBA interim belt. He defended that belt this year against Josesito Lopez.

The thing is Berto was mysteriously given the WBA interim belt in Feburary 2015 as told by their rankings. Berto fought nobody for the interim belt, it just appears in the records and he skips over the rest of the guys.

Josesito Lopez wasn't in the rankings for the WBA in December 2014. Suddenly with no WBA ranked fighter beat, he is placed at #7 in January 2015 for their Welterweight rankings.

March 3rd, 2015 comes by and #7 Josesito Lopez fights Andre Berto for the interim WBA title, which likely justifies Berto being able to fight Mayweather in legal terms.

This fight is a ****ing joke. Mayweather is fight Andre ****ing Berto. The jokes write themselves. He's fighting his own gatekeeper for $75 on PPV. Berto was Mayweather's gatekeeper. Enabled Ortiz and Guerrero to get fights with Floyd. Now Floyd is thanking Berto for the two previous easy paydays enabled by Berto's value as a gatekeeper by getting his third easy payday brought to you by the gatekeeper Andre Berto himself. This is just crazy.

I'll catch this fight on Showtime the following Saturday. This **** is inexcusable. For the first time, I see what all the P@cturds were alluding to for 6 years. **** Floyd for this.

Berto is one of those guys that don't look like they're punching particularly hard but they are.

And apparently prices will be $65 SD and $75 HD which I think is pretty extortionate. Will probably be on Sky Box Office for £15-20 in the UK as BoxNation don't seem to be interested.

I predict 600k PPV sales as some of his fans and casuals will still buy as it's Floyd Mayweather and his apparent swan-song and the undercard is decent as the main event has potential to be "entertaining".
