The official record is what it is.
Carlos Molina was DQ'd for his trainer entering the ring by accident for about 1 second, because the bell had rung, for F's sake. Floyd gets to have his trainer Roger jump in the ring during the middle of a round in order to attempt to assault Juddah, sparking a riot, and he doesn't get DQ'd.
Right, no favoritism there.
Castillo also won 8 rounds in their fight, very clearly.Comment

No, i'm really not. I am playing the devils advocate and you really can't argue against the fact that boxing is an unpredictible sport and upsets happen, there is factual evidence to support it. Just because most fights aren't upsets and just because the fighter ahead and dominating after two rounds wins the fight, doesn't make that any less true. You are ignoring the bigger point and clinging to the results of a single fight, so again, you really haven't refuted anything here. No, you're still wrong. From only the first two rounds you could tell exactly how it was going to go. If you never saw Mayweather or Berto fight, but you knew something about boxing, you would see that Berto was absolutely beyond his depth and two rounds was enough to make that determination.Comment

That was a crock of **** fight. As said, Mayweather is offensively shot. Not nearly as active or accurate as he used to be. And BoxNation, PLEASE don't ever let Amir Khan commentate on a fight or be a guest pundit again. The guy is straight up delusional and can't do a simple thing like call what is actually happening!Comment

There was a greater than 0.00% that he suddenly threw a wild swing and Mayweather momentarily had his eyes closed and took the shot clean and got stopped sure. But again, you could tell that that chance was trivially low. Berto showed nothing in just the first two rounds to demonstrate that he could realistically land such a shot. Nothing in the next 10 rounds changed that perception. No, i'm really not. There are many many fights that you can predict correctly with almost no chance of being incorrect. A lot of the online betting sites had this 100/1 and we saw exactly why that was. There are dozens of Garcia/Salka, Quillin/Zerafa, Stevenson/Karpency fights that go exactly as expected. You pretending that every fight is unpredictable is laughable to be totally honest.Last edited by BrometheusBob.; 09-12-2015, 11:50 PM.Comment
