And that's exaggerated now that PBC is grossly overpaying and outbidding themselves with ridiculous fight purses most of which for mismatched fights. That's just bad business and makes PBC too expensive a product to produce. For example most UFC cards the fighters combined don't make as much as PBC just paid Keith Thurman to fight Collazo no less. A fighter he had no business fighting at this stage. And what **** for their buck did that get them? Thurman has to defend the fact that he is fighting Collazo all last week and it got crappy TV ratings and only 4K showed up for the fight. Either PBC slashes the purses and scales down how much money they are spending for these fights or they will bleed through money at a rate that forces the investors to bail out. HBO/Showtime put on a better product with half the budget PBC is spending. It's basically like paying double the price for a knockoff Rolex.
Whatever TV outlet(s) that get(s) the PBC content deal, if the market is proven, will not have to deal with the overhang of loosing out to 10-14 shows being on PPV, bringing more value to the table for their TV deal.

Thurman-Collazo was positioned on a platform that would basically be a UFC PPV telecast in PBC's eyes (the biggest stage that PBC has to offer is primetime NBC/CBS, followed by Showtime Championship Boxing and the primtetime PBC shows on ESPN).

Imagine what the Fox content fee could've been if the UFC decided to just do away with PPV, putting all of their biggest fights on free TV. lol

Why PBC is falling short Isnt about the budget or purses. Its about the product(matchups), the audience wants to see all action fights and the best against the best...PBC isnt delivering that. Guys like Provo or Maythysse is what thr casuals want to see..PBC isnt delivering those kind of fights.

Before that blaming the NBA, Hockey, baseball, tennis. News flash other sports air all year long too. Can't wait to hear the excuses when College Football comes back in the fall. This is more about PBC then it is about other sports. Casual fans don't care about the product PBC is putting out.
Again these numbers aren't that bad, honestly. You guys make it sound like 5 people are watching PBC. Respectable numbers in the demo, respectable numbers overall. Even at current ratings, PBC is going to get a nice TV deal out of this

The fat chick on Teen Mom deserves more than than what Callazo got paid to quit.

since the first show, numbers have declined

those are pretty mediocre numbers especially since they put soooo much money into these events. they need to at least do 2-3 million average. 799k average is really not good.

people still won't listen to me when i say that PBC is a sinking ship. mediocre numbers, over paying for mismatches, mediocre production, mediocre commentary. ingredients for a disaster.

Brand equity. Exposure. Bigger fights. I mean right now Errol Spence is just some random guy most people haven't heard of. In a year or two of national TV exposure, he's a star that can draw numbers. Same with Wilder . Or Beterbiev. Whomever. These fighters need exposure and hype. Boxing hasn't been in the mainstream eye for decades. Going to take a minute..

Do you understand budgets? youre the type of guy who runs a business and has sales of $10,000, meanwhile your costs are over $15,000. That's not a success man.

Wilder-Povetkin likely ends up on Showtime, with Wilder-Klitschko on the biggest stage that PBC has to offer (primetime on terrestrial TV, but likely with a competition between CBS and NBC to air the fight).
