The problem with people comparing this to UFC and how UFC sold to Fox for their TV deal is UFC is just a much cheaper product. The fighters make peanuts compared to what boxers make. And that's exaggerated now that PBC is grossly overpaying and outbidding themselves with ridiculous fight purses most of which for mismatched fights. That's just bad business and makes PBC too expensive a product to produce. For example most UFC cards the fighters combined don't make as much as PBC just paid Keith Thurman to fight Collazo no less. A fighter he had no business fighting at this stage. And what **** for their buck did that get them? Thurman has to defend the fact that he is fighting Collazo all last week and it got crappy TV ratings and only 4K showed up for the fight. Either PBC slashes the purses and scales down how much money they are spending for these fights or they will bleed through money at a rate that forces the investors to bail out. HBO/Showtime put on a better product with half the budget PBC is spending. It's basically like paying double the price for a knockoff Rolex.

And what does Haymons investors know about promoting Boxing events? McMahon hired all former NFL execs to run XFL. They had former NFL coaches, gms and execs running the league. McMahon wasn't doing that. Having guys have nicknames on the back of their jersey is almost as dumb as having boxers walk down a stage to the ring with no ring announcer in a world class boxing fight. Or having a ref wear a ****** headband with a camera on it. Or not letting fighters enter the ring with their own music and entourage. Or making fighters wear suits for the tale of the tape. lol

Can you hand on heart say you believe that is going to happen under PBC? I'm just looking at the match-ups and see little indication of it.

        I mean, what is this?

Tell us what boxing entity has always done this?

When the other en****** do not give you the fights you want, you say OK, I will wait until the next fight Or, you enjoy what you get.

Why would you behave differently with this entity?

It's NBCSN. Main events put on Dudchenko vs. Mohommedi. What's the difference in quality?

Look at what's being replaced. This isn't a prime time NBC card. Haymon has over 300 fighters so he has to keep them busy somehow.

They might be trying to implement things like this but you know it takes a while to develop a name fighter.

Its as if PBC has to have all of this right now.

Passion! Something Boxing Fans Have Lost in America because we're worried about Ratings, PPV Numbers and Fighters Purse Numbers instead of enjoy fights

Let me know when Boxing have Crowds like this Celebrating after their guy has a big win, this will never happen for an American Fighter In America!:

XFL was backed by huge investors and smart business people they aired on NBC to monster ratings to debut and they had a 2-3 year business plan and expected to have loses the first 2 years. Problem is the ratings tanked after their debut and fell every month and they like PBC were dependent on ratings to draw TV sponsors. They didn't have the ratings couldn't get TV sponsors and their product was simply too expensive and they lost more money then expected and that 2-3 year business plan went out the window with them folding after season one.

Investors plan for loses but did PBC investors plan for this kind of loses? The ratings debuted were mediocre at best and have fallen consistently since. They couldn't get any tv sponsors to start and it's almost impossible to expect them now when the ratings are spiraling down. They have to pay millions to the networks to air the show, they pay millions on these bloated fight purses that are far above market price, they pay for the advertisement. No TV sponsors to help pay, they are getting almost nothing at the live gate with tons of stories of how they can't sell tickets and are forced to give tons away and comp tickets each event. They are now added to huge lawsuits. They expected to lose money but did they expect a huge dumpster fire of their money and lawsuits? At some point like the XFL investors they will cut their loses and scrap the 2-3 year plan.
XFL was capitalized largely by one man (Vincent K MchMahon Jr), at an amount that was deeply significant to the capital assets that he had on hand, with a far shorter time window to operate in.

The XFL project didn't show signs of succeeding within the window, so they pulled the plug. Their sole broadcaster losing interest did them in too. Read it for yourself if you want: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/XFL#Founding

The PBC effort is beginning their process with near 5 times the money, multiple TV broadcasters in the fold, all of the TV time paid for in advance, and with a sport that has a near 100 years history.

                    hate if you want.

You are asking what did McMahon know about football when he didn't run the league he was just the face of the investors. He was the money. Just like the PBC investors don't know anything about boxing. Both hired people in that field to run it. Point is both XFL and PBC new leagues airing on NBC prime time doing bad tv ratings and if PBC don't turn this around and reverse the downward trend of TV Ratings like XFL which had money for days and 2-3 year business plan and still folded after 1 year because they were losing too much money.
