Always in entertaining fights, always antagonistic outside the ropes. He's been very good for the sport in terms of fighting solid opponents rather than cherry picking the easiest route. Definite first time HoF entrant.

Froch has given me two of my all time favourite moments in boxing:

        No.1:

People forget how dangerous this fight was considered at the time. After picking up the vacant strap vs. Pascal he goes straight into another tough fight in his opponents backyard no less. The way the fight went was perfect, losing on all cards, being KD'd only to dig deep and Knock him out with 14 seconds left. If any fighters want to take note on how to finish an opponent, take a look at this fight.

I remember full on shouting at my computer screen at the end of this. Probably woke everyone in the house up.

        No.2:

It has to be. That time Froch KO'd George Groves in front of 80,000 people at Wembley. I hate ugly kid with a passion so to see him smashed to bits on the floor was huge for me. The whole pub i was in went mental when that shot landed. Great moment.

Honorable mention to the Bute KO.

I can't get over how ironic it is that he's ducking Degale the same way (according to Froch) Calzaghe ducked him. It's actually worse in this situation as Degale was his mandatory.

He's had a good career but I don't think retirement was the best option here.

As much as I wanted to see one more fight, I can't blame him. Hope you have a good retirement champ.

He fought Groves who was to him what he was to Calzaghe.

IF he had beat Degale there would have been another contender (maybe Callum Smith), and then another (G. Ramirez) and then another etc etc.

At some point you have to hang them up. Once the Chavez Jr fight fell through I never expected Froch to fight again.

There's tough comp at 160, too. Good fights to be made. But Genna looks indestructable right now, like even if you manage to go the distance with him you can expect to get pounded on for 12 rounds, and you'll probably never be the same fighter after that. Genna brings fans and a good payday, but none of these MWs want to get destroyed

Froch was a ***n warrior, but he looked limited and the other SMWs figured they had a decent chance of beating him (not to mention all of the fights from the Super 6), so they didn't think twice about getting in the ring with him.

                    LEVELS!!
Why did it take so long for Calslappy to fight RJJ??? Didn't calslappy have a "fear of flying"?
