Boxing Used To Be Like This

we see blood, we see guys fighting tough opponents, we see war, we used to be up on our chairs watching who'll break.

but not anymore. we see top fighters fight D level fighters and act so much of a diva. and when we see two top fighters it turns out to be a sparring instead of an actual fight.

Boxing has had lots and lots of showcase fights going back as far as I can remember.

**** it I agree, I still love boxing but it has changed. I mean we still get some good fights here and there, but the attitudes of boxers have changed, and no it hasn't always been like this. Also that Lalwer vs McDonald fight was awesome.

yea I think it's undeniable. Rarely am I standing up in front of the t.v. nowadays it's honestly like watching a baseball game. Not much drama and fairly predictable.

I understand it though, I mean it doesn't pay off to be an exciting or aggressive fighter anymore. I hope that the next generation uplifts the sport again, but I am not optimistic, much easier for them to just follow the status quo and follow the money. Man we need another Ali or Duran, fighters with pride.

If they at least deliver in the ring it would be ok.

But when you have all the drama outside the ring, then you just run, hug, hold, push and wait for the ref to save you, no good.
