I dont think many people would want to fight him at 147, high risk, low reward fight for anyone at the moment. Thats why i think he should get some wins and become mandatory, thats the only way i see him getting a shot.

I wonder why Al Haymon hasnt signed him also, he could promote him well on PBC with a talented white fighter from NY.

Youd have to match him against Diego Chavez in order to tell where he stands in the top 10 but Id like to see Algeri vs Spence. Itd be a good test for Spence

He'll be top 10 for sure. Everyone who's trained and sparred with him say he is very underrated and a very hard worker. He handled Maidana pretty well in sparring. Also pretty hard to stop.

            I kind of agree.

            But...

With the right management he could trade off his good looks and be marketed as the Great White Hope etc.

Algieri just needs the right kind of image and he could get big fights at 147.

He is decent and tough, but nothing special at all.

He just doesn't have "it" he's too basic. He's just a decent text book boxer. Hence nothing special.

Imo he looked awful in the Khan fight. His worst performance yet. He didn't do anything good in that fight but land a few overhand rights. He got away from his boxing that won him the Ruslan fight. He's regressed.

I can ser him getting knocked out soon.
