Aerrola is a Burro in the Kentucky Derby of Boxing

Slow fat Lazy lethargic caloric Chris Aerrola is disgusting as a highly visible average boxer who does not possess the necessary boxing skills to be a fringe contender. But Boxing with zero leadership and no rules and no power continues to give the lazy Aerrola title shots? Sad Really that more deserving fighterrs do not get the chances. Boxing is like a 747 Jumbo Jet on Auto pilot with no one at the controls.

chris nipple might be out of shape a little but he comes to fight and you have to kill him to end it. he is a thousand times a better man then the old lady mugging ******ed raping cannibal Tyson. just because he curses here and there does not put him way down to Tysons level and I never heard of nipple getting in trouble

Normally when a sentence like that leads off a story, it is followed by an exploration of how an unlikely hero has been able to succeed despite his appearance, defying expectations and earning a chance to become a champion.

That isn’t what’s going to happen here. That’s because the reason Chris Arreola doesn’t look like a heavyweight contender is because he isn’t one.

The fact that Arreola has twice been able to fight for a world title doesn’t change this reality. Nor will it change even if Arreola goes on, as presumed, to challenge Deontay Wilder for his heavyweight belt later this year.

He’s nevertheless been able to get these shots, headline boxing broadcasts, make millions of dollars and remain viable nearly six years after his first failure for a variety of reasons.

There was his nationality. He was an American coming up in an era when Ukrainian great Wladimir Klitschko was beginning his dominant reign and when Wladimir’s older brother, Vitali, was getting ready to come out of retirement. The Klitschkos didn’t quite excite boxing fans in the United States, where the networks would soon spotlight them less and less.

There was his personality. He was a plainspoken, outgoing, out-of-shape, beer-drinking brawler. He made for a good interview. Arreola made HBO, which had long latched itself to a series of overhyped American heavyweights, want to spotlight him as the best next choice to stand in and crack away at Wladimir Klitschko’s perceived china chin. Arreola is Mexican........................................err ybody trying to get that Mexican fan base.....promoters and outfits such as HBO NBC etc etc are no exception.........

          Are you insane?

All of this talk about Arreola losing every time he steps up is nonsensical. As if there is some special level in the sand or something.

He's only ever lost to 3 ****ing fighters!

He went the distance with the jack rabbit and did alright anyway there. He nearly and could have if he jeaopardised his health gone the distance with Vitali too, losing to which should not detract from ANY boxers worth at all.

And then we have Stiverne, whom he survived 9 rounds once with a broken nose and merely happened to get caught with a huge bomb again in the 2nd from which he couldn't recover.

In BOTH those Stiverne fights Arreola PROVED he could outbox him, he was doing just fine and looked good. Stiverne changed those fights with a single hard shot.

We don't even know if Wilder could really beat a healthy Stiverne yet either anyway. There's no way Widler could take that shot that dropped Chris, that's for sure.

There is another way to describe Chris Arreola and it's one of the main reason he keeps getting a chance..

Arreola is among the best boxers NOT to have won a major world title!

            Fact.

arreola sucks. what in the world are you talking about. he's beaten zero top 10 fighters in his career. i can think of a bunch of guys who are better and haven't won a world title. fury, pulev, glazkov, thompson, takam, jennings, cunningham, chisora, perez and that's just off the top of the head. all those guys have at least one solid win while arreola has zero. stop overrating his bum ass because vitali beat him.

also you don't know what a fact is but i'm not surprised. that's the exact opposite of a fact.

More of the blame should fall on Wilder and his handlers for choosing to keep milking this paper title by choosing this fight instead of trying to get Povetkin out of the way.

Actually, I thought it was a good article. Makes a change from the usual click-bait stuff and TMZ-reposts that BoxingScene has degenerated into.

A serious analysis of Arreola's weight fluctuations and the connections (Haymon) which keep getting him title fights.

None of the guys on that list have been either around or fighting at top level for long enough to be considered anything like that except for Tony Thompson, who I am already on record for declaring similarly.

If Pulev fights at top level for several more years having multiple title shots like Arreola and loses unfortunately in them for example, then I would claim similarly for Pulev.

So far these guys you have listed (except Thompson) have only fought in 1 or zero title fights.

And what the hell has Vitali bearing Arreola got to do with anything?

                      As for this...

                      "Arreola Sucks"..

Show me a single Arreola fight that "******"?
