What is the Spence challenge? Fight a guy who has fought nobodies for his short career? Yea, such a daunting task that would be. How about Spence beat some top 10 welters first.Comment

This is exactly how I saw it too. Collazo read taking Thurman's punches and was never really hurt at all. On the other hand, he was pressuring and hurting Thurman often. Is was actually surprised at how weak Thurman looked. I was of the opinion that he was the goods and would be a force in the future. His performance and gift stoppage last night exposed him to be B level at best. I was shocked.Im really surprised how many people here think he was right to quit.
I thought he gave it his all and admired the way he fought. But when you get cut, thats what cutmen are for. His cut man stopped the bleeding in the corner. Yet he was saying he couldnt see?? That doesnt make sense.
In this interview, he said he PROBABLY would of got caught with some needless shots. But does that mean every fighter who gets a bad cut should quit? They stopped the bleeding. There was a good chance he would of got hit and the bleeding started again, but he also could of hurt Thurman, maybe stopped him.
I didnt see him taking much punishment. So i find it strange he was eager to quit.Comment

oh the good ole days when fighters would fight with eyes swollen shut (some both Gatti) Noses hanging off their face (Marciano) Broken hands (many fighters) One Arm (Pacquiao) Not being able to see at all (Ali) oooooh the good ole days!Comment

Collazo is a tough dude and I would never question his heart or courage. But what happened just highlighted the problem with the fight itself - when you pick an opponent on the way out, this is what happens. They lack the commitment they once had to keep going.Comment

Herrera
Herrera didn't quit... and he had two cuts - one of them was hideous, with tissue flapping aroundComment

I don't think Collazo is a quitter.
He is just old and a bit shot.
I thought overall he gave a pretty good account of himself last night.Comment

you cant state the obvious because he's not a pro boxer? stfu man.

And he would be a dumbass. Don't quit in the ring, I get. Making it back to your corner and making a wise decision, I can't knock him for. Dude took punishment, only had a brief moment of true success, and that wasn't going to come back.
Same guys hating on him, didn't have a damn thing to say about Mike Alvarado not coming backout vs Provodnikov, or Oscar with Pac, but then again those fights weren't on PBCComment
