Stepping in the ring takes balls indeed. But Collazo was coming on IMO it was just the wrong time to quit.

The guy's questioning Collazo's heart have 100% never been in the ring.

The guy took a severe beating in the 7th round, that took everything out of him.

The guys defending collazo on here would be the first to criticize a de la Hoya or bob arum fighter for doing the same thing. Mike was a hundred percent accurate with his assertion that al haymon is breeding a bunch of chickens. His fighters have proved that over and over again. And no I have never stepped in a boxing ring but have watched enough fights to know that someone fighting a big televised fight for a world title does not quit due to a cut. If you want to see guys with heart watch klitschko vs. Lewis where klitschkos eye looked way worse than collazos and he was screaming at the ref for stopping the fight. Evander holyfield wanted to keep fighting after getting his damn eat bien off. Collazzo didn't even deserve another big fight and instead of showing heart and wanting to prove he belonged and redeem himself for all these bad fights, he quits like a little baby back biatch

You disparage the fighters like they are low life. It takes a lot of courage to climb in the ring. After 8 rounds with a world class fighter (Thurman) and you call the guy a quitter. Tell us about your ring experience and how you fought through adversity, I'd like to know. You act like a real tough guy with your street talk. I'm an old man (I fought in the golden gloves, Kansas City , Mo 1963 an 1964. I bet I could kick your ***.
You know shit is real when a poster who hasn't made a single post since 2009 is pissed.

shortened version: al haymon brought me in to lose to his star fighter so when things got tough i nodded at the ref and took my paycheck

After that performance, collazzo has put himself in perfect position to get another big fight against one of haymons top fighters. Probably against Danny Garcia after he fights malinaggi

those who believe he took a "severe beating" havent watched much boxing.. collazo has eaten much worse than that and kept fighting.. other than some cuts it wasn't a particularly brutal fight

he did his job which was to be thurmans game but fallen opponent, nothing more nothing less

Collazo is a warrior and owes no one an explanation.
He was cut he could not see and a beast like Thurman could have cut his future even shorter. Live to fight another day b

It's sad that most of these posters here probably think your being sarcastic.
