    You dont know this.

If Paulie loses heroically then yes he probably can still make a few bucks but if he either gets annihilated or runs around on a bicycle for 12 rounds losing a disgusting decision then not even Italians (myself icluded) will give a **** about this kid.

If Paulie loses he will never ever ever see a payday any where near what he will recieve against Mr. Cotto, ****ing never!

I said this before, everybody has a chance when the bell sounds, but I really can't picture Paulie doing anything but run around in this fight- Cotto will cut off the ring and punish him badly, this one will get stopped by the corner--- Cotto by TKO

His only way to beat Cotto would be KO him but look at his KO rate 4.2%

This fight is going to be ugly but should make for good tv...It's a shame for Cotto really that it isnt on regular television as this fight would rise his popularity even more.

I'm not saying that he will get as big a pay day as this. What I'm saying is that because of his lack of power and his self promoting big mouth that he can be marketed to other top fighters as a minimal-risk if he loses. This is seen with DeMarcus Corley. After losing to to Zab, he went on to later fight Elite fighters such as PBF and Cotto.

Paulie if he loses can still look forward to getting shots versus elites and pretty substantial pay days.

To compare Demarcus Corley and Paulie Malinaggi is to flat out disrespect Demarcos Corely...they are on two different levels.

Paulie has never fought anyone that is remotely decent, if he gets blown away by Cotto we will see very very little of this kid from there on out.

People will pay to see a loser if he loses heroically...people wont pay to see some shoe shiner run around the ring trying to pet his way to victory.

Your right though....Paulie and his mouth/look are certainly markletable for sure...but this could all end with one piss poor outing.

From what I recall Malignaggi just last year was fighting in Ballroom boxing for Lou Dibella with only a few tv fights and now he is on ppv?

See Corley done this but prior to losing he fought a few decent names before hand. What Malignaggi needed to do was to fight a lower caliber upper fighter like Witter/N'doue/Vivian hell even go after Maussa if need be it and get some exposure and high caliber fights before taking on the giant in the division.

Malignaggi landed this fight because he can talk and he just came out into the light at the right time for Cotto to fight in NYC.

His chance of winning is about as large as his KO rate and surely nobody can give him a chance....Many people tried to box Cotto but failed miserably he eventually caught up. If it isnt apparent by now the blue print for Cotto is stepping in and getting inside which Malignaggi isnt going to do...It is only a matter of time before Cotto seeks and destroys Malignaggi.

I'd put some money down on Paulie, I've seen enough to know he hits with crazy angles and is in and out. But, has little power and we don't know about his chin! If he has a chin, which i'm sure at siome point in their bout Cotto will CHECK, then I can see this fight being realy competative. I think ppl jjust hate on Maglinaggi cause he a loud mouth punk..but he has good skills and realy fast hands and feet. Can't wait to see this
