Tillis was probably in the best shape of his life when he fought Tyson, ironically enough....slim and fit 209, knowing he was at a crossroads. That was the best I've ever seen Tillis.
    took the words right out of my mouth, tillis wanted to put on an impressive showing. everyone knew about the new comer tyson, everyone wanted to be the first to defeat him. it was like a golfer winning the masters.

      Many of the fighters up to Douglas could have beaten Tyson, if they weren't all scared to death before they even got in the ring, rather than just fighting for survival. Douglas broke the mold.

        Tillis was a very good fighter, who, after 1983, just wasn't a force in the division anymore.He had the skills, but as someone mentioned earlier, the heart was questionable.
