Crappy traditions are there to be changed, no?

      He's absolutely a top 5 fighter.

Think about the reason you have Floyd Mayweather as your top fighter. It's mainly because he has beaten some very good fighters a while back, he hasn't been beaten in a long time, and he continues to win pretty impressively (even though the opponents may not be the greatest opponents ever).

The only thing that Marquez doesn't check out on is that he hasn't moved up in weight. You know another guy who was on top of the p4p lists when he had similar circumstances? Bernard Hopkins...

Now that is all trivial of course, but I'm not making a case for Marquez to be #1 p4p or anything either. He should CERTAINLY be considered top 5 p4p though.

-He hasn't lost in 5-6 years

-He has one of the best KO ratio in the game and has knocked out nearly everyone he has fought

-He has pretty much CLEARED out his division, making 6-7 succesful defenses of his strap, while knocking out pretty much every top contender he's faced

-He has beaten a potential HOF fighter in Mark Johnson (knocking him out once), and he beat another very good little guy in Tim Austin

-He's extremely exciting to watch, because it's pretty much knock out or get knocked out with him

I mean what more can he do? Don't listen to Diego cause his dumbass already said that he "doesn't pay attention to fighters below 126 anyway."

who could very well be a top 5 fighter p4p but his weight class seems to prohibit him from coming in...

well now that you have mentioned it, he does make the top 5 easily... especially with the point about floyd being raised

he certaintly has the skills and potential to be top 5 but he just hasnt fought enough lately. His weight class also doesnt have many big fights.

He's right outside the top 5 imo.He is very dominant at his weight class but for me to consider him top 5 he would have to beat another title holder in his division. The fighter I think he should fight mostly because I think it would be a barn burner is WBO champ Jhonny Gonzalez.

Top 5 not yet, Top 10 yes. But I don't have a problem with you putting him in the top 5, considering many people put Winky #1
