how can he be labelled a cherry-picker when he literally can't get a fight? but if he joins haymon as is rumoured then he should be in a fairly strong position going forward. if he fought loma i'd have to pick loma based on size, and i get no satisfaction from seeing quality fighters lose simply because they're too small

Obviously. You've also got the fact that in this instance the better, more experienced, more accomplished being asked to move up 4 lbs. In the GGG case you're asking a small MW to move up 8 lbs to fight the better, far more experienced, far more accomplished fighter.

This is ridiculous bigger guy calls out small guy. Small guy gets the blame for not fighting the big guy at a higher weight class. Meet in the middle or else there is an advantage; better yet big guy, how about you call out a bigger guy. Same applies to ward, if you want to fight a smaller guy meet at the middle or call out someone bigger

I think when Loma moves up, he's going to move up to the full 130. Right now I think they're just checking their options at 126, since Walters couldn't make weight it completely ruined the plans for the rest of the year now they need to reevaluate and check all the options before making the jump (there is no coming down once you move up).

I think he should be fighting more than twice a year though, that's something I'm going to keep complaining on.

I doubt Lomachenko will fight Salido when he moves up in weight. He's trying to fight the best and Salido is way past his prime now. Lomachenko could easily beat Rocky Martinez right now.

130 is stacked, I just think Loma and his team are checking all the options at 126 before making the jump; there is no coming down once you move up so might as well try to get some good competition while you're still there.
Salido used every dirty trick in the book and the referee didn't even warn him. Lomachenko was not used to it. In amateur boxing, the referee warns you for every small thing. That's huge difference, Loma was used to the warning for every little thing to the referee completely ignoring everything lol. Personally, I still think he won that fight. It was close, they could have easily gone with the guy they were trying to market. But I am clearly biased lol.
