Cotto wasn't Trout's worst nightmare. In fact Trout came to Cotto country and took his title away. Then 5 months later Canelo wins a fairly wide ud over Trout and took his title away. WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU. It was no problem for Cotto. He just took a 10 month vacation and got some more tattoos.

Boxing doesn't work like that, u gotta look at the styles, Cotto always had problems with Southpaws cuz he doesn't have a straight right hand and his defense can be cracked by the straight left down the pipe or a right hook around the guard, Canelo is not a southpaw and he's not a busy fighter like all the fighters that beat Cotto, even Floyd Mayweather himself had to throw much more punches against Cotto than his normal average cuz he knows Cotto can't counter punch and if u show him speed he shells up, Canelo can't do that for a lot of rounds and he has history with gassing out late.

This is a 50-50 fight no matter how u cut it slice it or dice it.
