According to promoter Lou DiBella, the recent efforts by manager/adviser Al Haymon should be applauded by the boxing industry.

Haymon was able to secure, according to speculation, around $400-500 million in backing for his ongoing Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) venture.

The powerful adviser has a monster-sized stable of at least 175 to 200 fighters - including pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Haymon is going to add a little extra on Lou's next paycheck for being a good stooge. Other promoters didn't do what Haymon is doing because it's illegal.

Goldenboy wasn't complaining when he was doing business with Haymon. Hypocrites at the highest level!

Exactly Lou! HBO didn't have a problem when they benefited from their relationship with Haymon, and neither did GB.

Oscar's company is in trouble. They only have Canelo really, and Lemieux (as long as they keep both of them from GGG). GB thought they got a good deal when Al paid them off, and now they realize that they got outflanked and are pissed off.

Arum didn't file a suit until after he made money off of the May-Pac fight. Arum's suit is probably a ploy to get a rematch for Pac with Floyd, as there is really nowhere for Pac to go at this point, not at 147 anyway (only a fight at 140 or a catchweight with Crawford).

Both companies have declining roosters and are being outmaneuvered by Haymon, so they are flailing and filing suits. There is nothing wrong with Haymon attracting fighters if he's got a plan and buying up TV time if he's got the money. This is just the new guard outmaneuvering the old guard. Haymon even took over ESPN, lol. People complaining that it's not profitable and all should worry about their own bills, because clearly Al has got this covered and knows what he's doing. Because he does not broadcast what his overall plans are, he's got everyone guessing, which is how the other promoters got outmaneuvered to begin with. But who could see this coming? This is the first move like this in boxing history.

Not true at all. Matter of fact that is what cause the beef between Oscar and the former CEO Richard Schaefer. Once Oscar found out about the shady dealings with Haymon and now Schaefer was allowing guys to fight without contracts it created friction, a forced resigning, and then a lawsuit. When you say Golden Boy wasn't complaining you are not talking about the current regime. You are talking about the guys who got ousted and sued.

The beef started when they weren't signing guys to gbp but still fighting under them. Oscar would have noticed if he kept his nose off his desk

DiBella is of course going to defend Haymon because he's in bed with him. We all know Haymon is the one promoting these PBC cards and not DiBella. DiBella is Haymon's puppet and promoter simply by name. A front man for Haymon who is controlling everything. Which is illegal and against the Ali act. Haymon created this bogus "adviser" title to get around the truth which is that he is both promoter and manager for the fighters who sign with him. Which again is illegal. And Golden Boy and Top Rank already have a GREAT track record in suing Haymon. GB sued him and Richard last year and the same posters who are saying Haymon has nothing to worry about are the same ones last year who said GB had no case against Haymon and Richard. Well you guys were wrong and GB forced Haymon into settling and cutting a reported 8 figure check. Top Rank sued Haymon over Chavez Jr. Same posters said he had no case yet Haymon again was forced to cut a check to Top Rank.

The more the courts and government get involved and look closely at Haymon the more trouble he will be in. You got his fighters slipping up and calling him their promoter in interviews. You got one fighter posting a check after his fight on instagram (again totally illegal for a manager to pay a fighter that is a promoters job). The GB lawsuits will end with Haymon once again being forced to cut a large check. The top rank lawsuit is actually more troubling for him because they are seeking an injunction.

                  Yes.

Dibella's looking for some crumbs from Haymon.

I wonder why GBP didn't file this lawsuit when Haymon was working with them.
