Uh oh here comes a GGG fanboy. I think 164 is too low but I'll reiterate. Golovkin should be allowed to clean out the middleweight division. If everyone insists on him fighting Ward now, fine but why should he be expected to move up 8 lbs just because he can punch there. I think he'd win a close fight anyway but my point is this, GGG is a middleweight, let him silence the haters and crush the mws who wont fight him. If only supermiddlewieghts will then fine move up. I've never seen so many haters for no good reason. Guys are afraid to fight him and you turn that into he only wants to fight tomato cans. He's no Chavez jr.
If that's how your camp feels and apparently how you feel (since Golovkin has never made a single move to cull the talk), the boxing public is going to expect you to stand behind your words, especially if folks are starting to put up challenges.
If Team Golovkin had simply argued the less ridiculous, yet still ridiculous, story of believing "Golovkin to be the best middleweight fighter to ever put on a pair of gloves", he wouldn't get any of the heat he gets.Comment

What's wrong with that?
LOL at all the phaggots in here crying.
Ward is a fully fledged super middleweight, GGG a fully fledged middleweight.
Neither guy is especially big or small for their division, they are normal sized for their division.
All you phaggots are in tears because you only want GGG to be at a disadvantage.
This is opening negotiations, people should be happy it's happening. Loeffler stated for a 50/50 split it's gotta be 164. Haters are ignoring that fact. Ward's aloud to counter with a 40/60 split at 168 if he's really serious about fighting.Comment

Ward said he'd do 160 for Floyd, is he a ***** for not doing 160 for GGG? You guys have such a hard-on for GGG you don't know how ****** you sound.Comment

This is what I thought when I read the article. Loeffler is overplaying the "GGG is the A side now" card.
GGG has said that, as a matter of respect, he would never ask for a CW while moving either up or down. And it makes no sense to be willing to face Froch at 168, but not Ward. Sure, Ward is the better boxer, but Froch is the one who could do some real damage if Golovkin couldn't handle the weight difference.
Also, this would be as pointless as Ward asking Kovalev to come down to 172. Ward doesn't even know if he can still fight effectively at 168. There isn't a cat in hell's chance he would even think about dropping another 4 lbs.Comment

It's embarrassing watching you people make excuses for this rubbish.
I'm as big a Golovkin fan as anyone on here, but he needs to either fight Ward at 168 or him and his team should just stop mentioning Ward because they're making themselves really bad.
Obviously all fans are bias towards their favourites, but some Golovkin guys are starting to reach Fl0mo/Pac-tard level of ******ation. Support your guys, but more importantly support the sport. **** like this is no good.Comment

Look at all these crybabies, why doesn't Ward move down for GGG? Why must GGG move up?
Face it you all just want to see him lose because of his skin tone.
164 is completely fair i've been saying this as long as this fiasco has been going on.
Why must GGG move up for Ward and not vice versa?Comment
